Supply Chain Operations Manager – ANZ



Job Purpose

The role is to manage the ANZ 3PL provider to achieve optimal service level and quality targets, as well developing the 3PL network alongside the Global Operations Manager versus MPM company objectives.

This role deals with a wide variety of work tasks including, but not limited to the following:



  • Own the ANZ 3PL day to day relationship to ensure that performance is at the highest possible levels along with swift issue identification, resolution, and delivery of improvements.
  • Own the relationships with key customer supply planners to ensure issues that require escalation are managed effectively.
  • Own the ANZ section of the weekly Asia Pac supply chain report, including 3PL data. For example, pallet holding, stock on hand, slow moving and out of stock summaries.



  • Manage the coaching and developing the ANZ Customer service Co-Ordinator and the Asia Pac Supply Chain Coordinator.
  • Manage the 3PL stockholding in line with customer DIFOT measures (delivered in full on time)
  • Manage and minimise slow moving stock and associated write-offs.
  • Effectively manage internal customers, ensuring they are kept informed of any stock issues that may affect external customers.
  • Effectively manage and co-ordinate the supply of dry goods from manufacturer to co-packer into the 3PL.



  • Support the implementation of SLAs with suppliers and improved understanding of supplier operations and cost drivers
  • The role is to lead and support key projects to run to agreed timings to deliver benefits (such as cost savings, efficiency improvements, service improvements, pack format improvements), involving cross functional projects to support the delivery of the MPM company strategy.



  • 3PL management involves holding regular meetings to ensure that KPIs are in place and being met.



  • Collaborate with the Asia Pac Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to maintain, update and review demand planning forecasts across the region to ensure stock holding is maintained at the desired level.
  • Working closely with the Global Supply Chain Team, global logistics partners and global manufacturing partners on process optimization, customer management, supplier management and cost reduction.



  • Support the Asia Pac Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to ensure the ANZ shipping schedule remains on track and liaise with factories to ensure on time delivery.



  • Liaise with the global supply chain team to support the management of ANZ suppliers (including those that are based outside of ANZ), including global sourcing decisions, economies of scale and simplicity of packaging/product rollouts.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the Global Quality Manager to support on quality control resolutions associated with domestic suppliers.



  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies, working closely with the global supply chain team to share and develop processes.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft applications/Word/Excel – full training will be given on in house systems
  • Demonstratable experience at people manager level within supply chain and operations field.
  • Proficient in presentation skills for both external & internal business meetings.
  • A global mindset and proactive approach.
  • Effective communication and relationship builder at all levels with both internal and external stakeholder



  • In depth understanding/experience of warehousing and logistics operations
  • CIPS qualified (or equivalent)
  • Exposure to supply planning processes
