We currently have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity within the Supply Chain Team to provide support to the Supply Chain Team to ensure we have adequate levels of stock to fulfil the needs of the business and coordinate the container freight movements bringing stock in to the UK & Europe 3PLs from contract manufacturers

 


Demand Planning and Forecasting Support:

 

·         Work collaboratively with the Commercial Forecaster to identify stock issues and adjust the demand forecast where required (i.e. products selling under and over forecast)

·         Input the demand forecast into supply plans and plan orders to ensure that stock holding, and stock availability are at the desired levels

·         Manage the supplier to ensure that production is planned at the correct site to suit the destination selling market requirements (there are 2 production sites with differing suitability factors)

·         Share the demand forecast with the supplier to support production planning and holding of optimum SKU mix in the contingency stock held at the supplier warehouse

·         Update supply plans with sales and inventory information

·         Raise Purchase Orders on Sage and send to supplier

·         Amend, cancel and defer Purchase Orders where required based on stock levels

·         Work with supplier to ensure orders are shipped correctly and timely

·         Actively work to reduce stock issues by tweaking promotions, derogating short shelf life stock and carrying out repacks where required

·         Manage the sourcing of packaging from multiple suppliers to free issue to the supplier

·         Communicate effectively with Sales and Customer Services to ensure customers are made aware of any stock issues

·         Drive continuous improvement to the processes delivering free supply of finished goods, packaging and freight

·         Active role in selection, set up and go live of a new supplier in the UK

·         Attend Stage Gate scoring sessions and meetings for NPD and delists

·         Cover holidays for other members of the planning team as required

3PL Management:

 

·         Liaise with 3PLs to ensure that deliveries are booked in, in a timely and accurate manner

·         Book in deliveries on Sage and export the text files onto the Britannia Bureau FTP

·         Investigate stock discrepancies on the Goods Receipt Reports

Report any non-conformances to the Technical department

 

Container freight coordination:

 

·         Liaise with freight forwarding companies to ensure that all containers are moved from contract manufacturers through to UK & Europe 3PLs on time

·         Ensure that all required paperwork and systems updates are in place to allow free movement of containers through to the 3PLs

·         Resolve any issues relating to container movements including missing documentation, delays at port and transfer in to the 3PLs

·         Manage the ongoing relationship with the freight forwarding companies

Focus on detail – a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Effective communicator – excellent communication skills are required as working collaboratively with suppliers, customers and stakeholders is a key part of this role

Time management – uses time effectively to manage a busy workload with the ability to prioritise important tasks

Learning and development – desire to learn and develop to take on further responsibilities in the future
